Faux and Decorative Painting

Faux Painting

Faux - The naming comes from the French word faux, meaning false. This form of artistic techniques started with the replication of marble and wood with paint, but has vastly grown to encompass many other finishes for walls, furniture, floors, countertops etc.

  • Marble - columns and walls
  • Wood Graining - trim, furniture, panels
  • Aging and/or Antiquing
  • Strie' - often used to create denim, silk, linen and other fabric faux finishes
